Returns and Refunds Policy
This Returns and Refunds Policy ("Policy") governs the exercise of the right of withdrawal, the conditions for returning products, refund procedures, and the Legal Guarantee of conformity applicable to products sold through the "ANIMA EDIT SHOES" brand e-commerce ("Company" or "ANIMA"), in accordance with Legislative Decree 206/2005 ("Consumer Code"), Legislative Decree 70/2003, and current European and national legislation on consumer protection, e-commerce, and personal data protection.

1. Artisan and customized nature of the products
The products marketed by the Company are handcrafted and made to the Customer's specific request, based on the configurations, customizations, combinations of materials, colors, finishes, and further indications provided by the Customer at the time of purchase.
Every ANIMA product therefore constitutes a personalized good created individually according to the specific requests of the Customer, with the consequent application of the limitations to the right of withdrawal provided for by art. 59, paragraph 1, letter c) of the Consumer Code.
2. Right of withdrawal within 24 hours
The Customer has the right to withdraw from the contract without any penalty and without obligation to provide a reason within 24 (twenty-four) hours of receiving the order confirmation.
The withdrawal must be communicated by sending a written communication to the e-mail address indicated in the General Conditions of Sale, specifying:
• order number;
• Customer's identification details;
• express will to exercise the right of withdrawal.
In the event of exercising the right of withdrawal within the aforementioned term, the Customer will be entitled to a full refund of the amounts paid, which will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
3. Exclusion of the right of withdrawal after production has commenced
After 24 (twenty-four) hours from order confirmation, it will no longer be possible to cancel the order or exercise the right of withdrawal, as the artisanal production and customization process of the footwear will have begun based on the information received from the Customer during the purchase phase.
Pursuant to Article 59 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal is excluded for:
• tailor-made products;
• clearly customized products;
• goods made according to the consumer's specific requests.
The Customer acknowledges and expressly accepts that the highly personalized nature of ANIMA products prevents their resale and justifies the exclusion of the right of withdrawal after the start of production.
4. Production and Delivery Times
The time required for the artisanal production of the product is approximately between 2 (two) and 4 (four) weeks from the completion of the order.
These terms are to be considered merely indicative and not essential, given the artisanal nature of the work, the availability of materials, manual processes, and any extraordinary production needs.
The Company undertakes in any case to promptly inform the Customer in the event of any significant delays in production or delivery.
5. Conditions for any returns
Returns may only be authorized in cases provided for by law and regulated by this Policy.
Returns will not be accepted for reasons such as:
• reconsideration after the 24-hour deadline;
• subjective aesthetic evaluations of the personalized product;
• non-substantial differences arising from the natural artisanal processing of leathers and materials;
• normal chromatic variations, textures, grain patterns, or natural characteristics of the leathers;
• ordinary wear and tear resulting from product use.
It is understood that any customization requests approved by the Client constitute an integral part of the agreed product characteristics.
6. Lack of conformity and Legal Warranty
The Company is liable to the consumer for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery of the product and appearing within 2 (two) years from the date of delivery, pursuant to articles 128 et seq. of the Consumer Code.
The following do not constitute a lack of conformity:
• subjective assessments relating to the aesthetic appeal of the requested customizations;
• natural characteristics of the artisanal materials used;
• minimal differences resulting from manual processing;
• signs of normal use or wear.
The warranty also does not cover damages resulting from:
• improper use of the product;
• incorrect storage;
• modifications made by the Customer or third parties;
• maintenance not in accordance with the instructions provided;
• use inconsistent with the intended purpose of the product.
7. Defect Reporting Procedure
To exercise the rights related to the Legal Warranty, the Customer must send a communication to the e-mail address indicated in the Terms and Conditions of Sale, attaching:
• order number or proof of purchase;
• detailed description of the reported defect;
• clear and complete photographic documentation.
The Company will examine the report and provide the Customer with instructions for the possible return of the product.
If, following the preliminary evaluation of the documentation received, the Company deems the existence of the lack of conformity plausible, the costs of return, repair or replacement will be borne by the Company.
Otherwise, the Customer may still send the product at their own expense to allow for a thorough technical verification.
8. Remedies available to the Customer
In the event of an actual lack of conformity, the Customer may request, as provided for by current legislation:
• repair of the product;
• replacement of the product;
• a proportional price reduction;
• termination of the contract, in cases provided for by law.
The Company may refuse the requested remedy if it proves impossible or excessively burdensome compared to the available alternatives, taking into account the artisanal nature of the product and the extent of the defect complained of.
Contract termination will not be permitted for minor defects.
9. Refund Method
Any approved refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe and in any case, in compliance with the terms established by applicable law.
The refund will be processed, where possible, using the same payment method used by the Customer for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
The Company reserves the right to suspend the refund until the returned product is received or until proof of its shipment is provided, where applicable.
10. Personal data protection
Any personal data collected during return, assistance, refund, or warranty procedures will be processed in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and the national legislation in force regarding personal data protection.
Such data will be used exclusively for:
• handling assistance requests;
• verifying the legitimacy of return or warranty requests;
• fulfilling contractual and legal obligations;
• protecting the Company's rights in judicial and extrajudicial proceedings.
For further information on the processing of personal data, the Customer is invited to consult the Privacy Policy published on the official ANIMA website.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by Italian law.
For any dispute relating to the interpretation, validity or execution of this Policy, the consumer's forum provided for by the applicable consumer protection legislation shall remain valid.
This Policy must be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of Sale, the Privacy Policy, and all other information published on the ANIMA e-commerce website.
